We are in the process to migrating form exchange 201 to O365. We have a number of public folders that we would like to convert to shared mailboxes.

I was wondering the easiest way of doing this. Is there a way to do this using powershell?

    Hi @lee roberts

Agree with Andy, the easiest method to do this should be:

    1. create new shared mailboxes on O365
    2. use Outlook to export the items in the public folders to PST files
    3. use Outlook to import the PST files into the shared mailboxes

Below are links of the Outlook export/import process:
    Export:Back up your email
Import:Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file

    There is no built-in method.
You would need to create a shared mailbox, move the items to that mailbox and move the SMTP address of the public folder if mail-enabled.
