Our smallish non-profit recently transitioned to Outlook 365 and I have a question about individual staff sharing Outlook calendar with personal Google accounts. I have successfully integrated my Google calendar into my Outlook calendar, which works great when I am at work. Our organization discourages staff from viewing work accounts on personal devices, so when I'm not working, I prefer to use my Google calendar for viewing my work and personal calendars together.
I was able to add my Outlook calendar to my Google calendar with the .ics link and received no errors. The calendar appears in the list of other calendars, but no appointments show up.
We do not have IT/tech people on staff. I, in my very limited tech knowledge, am one of the people with admin access and can view our organization's sharing permissions settings. The default sharing permissions under Individual Sharing are for 1)Sharing all details with domain "Anonymous" and 2) sharing free/busy information with "All domains". Is there something that needs to be changed there in order to allow staff to share their Outlook calendars to personal Google (or other) accounts?
I have seen instructions for sharing Outlook to Google by making the Outlook calendar public and sharing the public URL, but this seems insecure. Especially since I would want to share all event details with myself.
Apologies for the low-tech description of the problem and TIA for any ideas!
