Laptop taking forever to shut down or repair

Whenever I shut down my laptop,
it is just stuck
and after 15 mins it shuts down.

I tried running the startup repair, it says sorry we couldn't repair your pc

I literally press hold the power key to shut down :(

1) Open administrative command prompt (ACP) and type or copy and paste:
2) sfc /scannow
3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
5) sfc /scannow
6) chkdsk /scan

7) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread


8) Turn off Windows fast startup:

9) Run the V2 log collector > post a share link using one drive, drop box, or google drive

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

Run sfc /scannow again and display results.



When available please post V2 collect log folders and files.

When did the issue start?
Any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

According to your description, you could perform a repair upgrade using the Windows 10 ISO file.

I already upgraded my pc to 21h1 through the media creation tool

Also, I think I had a system restore point before this so should I use it??

List any installed non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus
b) firewall
c) drive encryption

8) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

9) Find the new text files on the desktop > post share links with V2
(do not post these without V2 results)

Please perform the new steps in order (some were ran earlier in the thread).

Bitlocker is the Microsoft drive encryption.

There are third party software for each antivirus, firewall, and drive encryption that can interfere with in place upgrade repairs.




Uninstall: Escan
https://www.escanav.com/en/support/escan-uninstall.asp

Make sure Microsoft defender is on.

Reboot > report any changes in performance
