A simple question is about Anonymouse site

Hi there,

I have a site call (A) is a Site Collection. I extend the (A) to another IIS virtual server called (A1). A1 is a anon site. (A) is based on the basic SharePoint Permission configuration. My scenario will be

  1. I have B1, B2, B3 documents in document library of (A).

  2. 3* SharePoint GROUP (S1, S2, S3)

  3. 4* Users: Aaronp, Adamb, Danb, Yex. Aaronp is belonged to S1; Adamb is belonged to S2; Danb is belonged to S3; Yex will be anonymous user

B1 -> S1 (Aaronp) -> Read
B2 -> S1 (Aaronp) and S2 (Adamb) -> Contributor
B3 -> Everyone can see

so When

  1. Aaronp access the (A1): He can see B1, B2, B3 documents

  2. Adamb access the (A1): He can see B2, B3 documents

  3. Danb access the (A1): He can see B3 document

  4. Yex access the (A1): She can see B3 document

the above results is correct??

thanks

Hi @SHUOH-8693

Per my test, when set unique permission for document library B1 and B2 like you mentioned, Aaronp access the (A1): He can see B1, B2, B3 documents. Adamb access the (A1): He can see B2, B3 documents. Danb access the (A1): He can see B3 document. Yex access the (A1): She can see B3 document.

Hi @CaseyYangMSFT-4714 ,

Thanks for your information. I will give it a try.

I feel If we setup the site as an anon site and "Anonymous users can access - Nothing", User still can login the site without login. But permission will be grant on our own. I mean when we setup the Top-Level site with READ Permission for everyone by manual, You also can login to the SharePoint without account and password?

Is my concept correct??

Hi @CaseyYangMSFT-4714,

I just set up the "Anonymous users can access - Nothing" for my SharePoint. If I don't use account/ password, I cannot login.

thanks
