WVM and "Access to Azure Active Directory"

OK, so a little background info.

My tenant was originally created using an office 365 subscription. In azure, my Azure AD shows as a separate subscription to the rest of my Azure services.

(I think that) Because of this setup; when i am trying to provision a host pool for WVMs, I am unable to select an existing virtual network that has access to the Azure AD. I have purchased 3 Microsoft 365 licences and assigned one to myself to ensure licencing wasn't the issue.

I have tried creating "Azure AD Domain Services" on my pay as you go subscription which links to my Azure AD and synchronises fine, and doing this also creates a new VNET for that service, but i still encounter the same problem.

If someone has any advice on how i need to proceed here to get my WVMs up and running, that would be great. TIA

PS. Apologies if i have tagged this incorrectly.
