Why I have to give my Credit card details if I want to try freely your service whenever is possible?
Instead of Credit Card info ... whose personal data become available to your DBAs,
why don't use the 2-Factor Authenticator App for the access verification?
and closing automatically the offered Trial service when it expires with no worries about expirations date?
Very many companies are like that. They want to ensure they can bill you after the trial period if you choose to continue. They also want to be able to identify who you are so they will know if you try to get any more free trials. Just be sure to cancel the trial in time before the trial is over if you decide you cannot or do not want to pay for it. If you are careful then you can get some Azure services for a reasonable amount but I know from experience it can be confusing and difficult to be careful.
It's just a part of the process.
What do I need to sign up for a free account?
All you need is a phone number, a credit card or a debit card, and a Microsoft account or a GitHub account.

There's the mobile Authenticator app that can be used as 2-Factor to demostrate that who try to log is a person and not a Bot.
Am I right?
