Bing Ads API: Error Code 650052

We are following documentation

, but when we try to Request User Consent, we get the following error message

AADSTS650052: The app needs access to a service ('https://ads.microsoft.com') that your organization 'xxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx' has not subscribed to or enabled. Contact your IT Admin to review the configuration of your service subscriptions.

How can we fix this?

Not yet. It has to do something with setting "knownClientApplications" in the manifest of our application registration in Azure. We need to set it to an Application ID of Bing Ads Subscription(????). We are not sure what that is. There are 3 apps in Active Directory Enterprise Applicatins:: Bing Ads, Microsoft Bing Ads and another Microsoft Bing Ads. There are no descriptions nor versions to determine which one to use(if any of them).

Any luck on your end?

The fix for this was simple. In Azure add API Permission "Microsoft Advertising API Service" to your App Registration

  • In Azure, go to App Registrations

  • Select your app

  • Click on API Permissions from the menu option

  • Click Add a Permission

  • Click Tab: APIs my organization uses

  • Search for Microsoft Advertising API Service

  • click Grant admin consent ... button

@PaidSearch51-7118 I am experiencing the same issue.

I don't see "Microsoft Advertising API Service" under "APIs my organization uses" tab.
How does one enable it?

Darren,

Go to App Registration
Go into your app that you want to add Microsoft Advertising API Service
Click on API Permissions
Under Configure Permissions click on Add a Permission
You may see three taps "Microsoft APIs", "APIs my organization uses", and My APIs.
Click on APIs my organization uses
Search for and select Microsoft Advertising API Service
It will then appear under API/Permissions list

Hope this helps

I am unsure how or when our Microsoft Advertising API Service appeared under "APIs my organization uses" tab.
When I created an MS Ad account, then with in MS Ad, I changed my email from a personnel account to a Work Account, possibly that's when Microsoft Advertising API Service appeared.
