One user forwards it to their gmail account. Instead of being notified ONE time, the organizer is barraged with multiple notifications of the single forward event.
Can you reproduce this issue by creating a new meeting and forwarding the meeting event to another recipient (instead of gmail) via OWA?
If the issue persists, the cause may be with the Exchange server.
Here is a case in the similar situation:
Meeting Forward Notification issue: server sends multiple MFNs to organizer
I am writing here to confirm with you how thing going now?
Did the issue get resolved?
I would consider deleting forwarding notifications.
