How to get logs for app in development from LocalAppData on Windows Device Portal?

I am working on an Unreal app for Hololens2. I had been successfully pulling logs off the HL for months, but a week ago suddenly started having trouble.

I have been connecting via USB-C and accessing Windows Device Portal using http://127.0.0.1:10080. I navigated to the log location (System > File Explorer : User Folders \ LocalAppData \ MenticeAR_1.0.0.0_arm64__8tq4ww8k8wzmt \ LocalState \ AR \ Saved \ Logs \ ). When I press the save icon next to the log file, instead of immediately downloading, in the lower left corner of the screen it keeps saying "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...". Sometimes the log never gets saved, and sometimes it appears 30+ minutes, hours, or even days later.

It sounds similar to this issue https://stackoverflow.com/questions/66645608/is-there-another-way-to-access-hololens-localappdata-other-than-the-windows-devi , but I am using the correct method for USB-C. I have also tried disconnecting USB-C, connecting via WiFi and my HL's IP address, but something similar happens.

Is there an alternative way to get the logs, or a way to solve the sporadic/never downloading of the logs?

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

Note: I have also tried a factory reset of my Hololens, using a coworker's Hololens, and restarting my PC.

Hi Stephanie,

We're currently investigating an issue with the HoloLens Device Portal that sounds like it matches your symptoms.
I don't have a current estimate on when a fix will be available.

Several people have reported success using alternative browsers (IE or Firefox rather than Edge or Chrome), so if you have those installed give them a try.

As an alternative workaround, you can write your logs to location readable by the files application and upload them to OneDrive or such.

I have found that if you double click on the save icon, it will download (~50% of the time).
