problem publishing cassandra tables with azure data catalog

I'm trying to publish tables in a Cassandra database using Azure's data catalog. I'm able to connect to the Cassandra cluster as a generic ODBC database. However when I go to publish I cannot see the tables in the keyspace. Here's a screen dump of the publish dialog from Azure Data Catalog.

Hello @RollandCright-1494,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Make sure to select your database in the server Hierarchy tree to show tables in the Available objects section.

Example from the document, to register the metadata of your data asset.

In this example, you register Product objects from the sample namespace:

  • In the Server Hierarchy tree, expand your database sample and select SalesLT.

  • Select Product, ProductCategory, ProductDescription, and ProductModel by using Ctrl+select.

  • Select the move-selected arrow (>). This action moves all selected objects into the Objects to be registered list.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

Thanks for the feedback.

I reviewed your answer and went back to the connection details window (below) and removed the keyspace name from the Database entry field.

I was then able to select the keyspace and view the objects. So the moral of the story is don't include keyspace as a connection parameter.

Thanks.
