Microsoft Teams Live Event - Q&A option not available unless meeting is created as Public

Hello,

A client of mine is trying to create a live event with Q&A as an org-wide live event. When they do so and check off the Q&A checkbox in the live event settings, the Q&A button does not show up in the created meeting.

The only way we have been able to get the Q&A panel button to display is if the live event is created as a public event. Private or org-wide live events do not seem to allow the Q&A feature.

The policies set in their teams admin are all the default org-wide policies.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any insight into why this may be happening and how we can resolve it?

I have exactly the same problem and it is a RECENT thing. It has only started happening in the last couple of months, before that the Q&A worked fine for Producers and Presenters. No change to Event setup or settings.
Did you find a fix?

Could you find the Q&A options when schedule Teams live event like the following picture? If you find it, please try to tick it and schedule Teams live event again.

The checkbox is there, but unless the live meeting is set to Public, the button here is missing in the meeting itself:

If I check the Q&A box off when the meeting is set to Org-Wide, the Q&A button in live meeting is missing for producers and presenters.

This is by design. If you do not tick the Q&A box before schedule the meeting, it will not show in your live event.

The checkbox is there, but unless the live meeting is set to Public, the button here is missing in the meeting

In my experience, if the live event organizer tick the Q&A options, all the participants can use Q&A features in live event. Please notice that the Q&A panel only appears if the organizer has set it up. For more details about Q&A feature, you can learn it from:

Today I did the test in another device and it also works well. Is there any update on this case?
