Deploy static IP-addresses for physical client pc using Azure Services

Hello! I would like to know if there is a way to assign static IP addresses to physical client-pc (not VM) using Azure Services? Much like when using on-prem infrstructure with a DHCP server, but instead of on-prem, we'd like to use the Azure cloud infrastructure. I can only find the solution for VM's using VNet.

We have a small customer with 5 endpoints (all Windows 10 Pro devices) where we'd like to manage the devices. EMS+E3 is really great for all kind of management stuff, but it also does not have an option to assign static ip addresses from within Azure.

What would be great is if when a new user signs up to a new notebook using the business mail, all the policies get applied by Endpoint Manager (this works already great) + also gets assigned a static IP address.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi @Armin-3209,

unfortunately it's not possible to assign IPs for on-premises devices via any Azure service.
The assignment of IPs in Azure works with Azure Virtual Networks/subnets only.

Hi @AndreasBaumgarten thank you for your feedback. So what would be the best way then to configure conditional access? When a user is in the office that it is seen as a safe location and when the user is outside the office, they have to enter MFA code to access online resources?

Thanks and best regards

Hi @Armin-3209 ,

how is the office connected to the internet?
At our customers in most cases they have a public static IP on their internet router.
This might be an option to use this public static IP for conditional access.

Hi @AndreasBaumgarten,

they use the default ISP router, no Aruba AP or anything special. Thank you for the idea!
