Delay in SCCM Remote Control only in admin console

Hi, I recently migrated from 1906 running on a 2012 R2 server to 2103 running on a 2019 server. However, it seems to have some problem on remote control. Now the remote control function will have a few seconds of delay for each input. The slow performance also occur on the 1906 site when remote controlling some servers in the same subnet too. Every action I did took around 2 seconds for it to work: e.g. when I press “A” on the keyboard, the letter “A” will appear after 2 seconds. But the delay doesn't happen when I try to remote control using RDC. Anyone had experienced this before and knows how to fix it? Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

1, Is there any error/warning in the CmRCService.log file on the problematic devices?
2,Do the problematic devices run the latest version of Configuration Manager client agent?

Thanks for your time.

Best regards,
Simon

Thanks for replying.

For the first question, no, there aren’t any error messages in CmRcService.log. Everything seems normal except that it shows “Viewer address: (ip for site server):58191”. Shouldn’t the port be 2701? But the “Host address” got port 2701 for connection.

And for the second question, it js the latest version.

An update for the issue: Strangely, when I type in the text box for my username and password in the windows log in window, it has the delay issue. But when I type in cmd, the delay goes away. And typing in browser also seems fine but typing in Microsoft Word has the latency issue. It’s a bit strange.
