No subscription in sandbox

Learning for my DP200 exam, running through the modules. I'm currently working on this module:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/create-azure-storage-account/ On the excercise I have to create a sandbox, then add a storage account to that sandbox. When I access the created sandbox I get an error telling me there's no subscription.
Therefore I can't add a storage account.

I've checked the selected directory and that's correct. Since this excercise has a "check your work" button, I can't continue the module. Please advise.

I also faced the similar problem. Switching directories from portal did not help. Finally it worked after I refreshed the page on Microsoft learn and activated the sandbox again. It gave this message but worked when I tried on portal again:
"Sandbox activated! Time remaining:
You have used 1 of 10 sandboxes for today. More sandboxes will be available tomorrow."
Actually the above method is working for me.

Worked for me as well. Just refresh/retry activating the sandbox. Once you get above message ""Sandbox activated.." you are good to go.

Hi,

Microsoft Learn is currently not supported in the Q&A forums, the supported products are listed over here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/products (more to be added later on).

You can ask the experts in the dedicated Microsoft Learn forum over here:
https://trainingsupport.microsoft.com/en-us/tcml/forum/tcml_mat

(Please don't forget to accept helpful replies as answer)

Best regards,
Leon

Thanks for your response Leon. The link you post sadly has nothing to do with Microsoft Learn but only with Microsoft Learning, which apparently has nothing to do with each other. There is, apparently, no interactive option for the Microsoft Learn platform that I'm currently struggling with. No way to ask someone how to fix my issue. There is only a "Fire and forget" option that tells you immediately that you will not receive an answer.

@croga Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding here and any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Based on the issue, I would recommend to refer to the Troubleshooting known issues article

Have you tried in different browsers / machines / In private Browsing and cache, temp cleared

  • Sign in to the Subscriptions view in the Azure portal.

  • Select the subscription you want to check, and then look under Settings.

  • Select Properties. The account administrator of the subscription is displayed in the Account Admin box.

If the issue still persist, I would recommend open a Subscription support request at no charge and we provide free support. Subscription team would be the best to provide more insight and guidance on this scenario.

Hope this helps!

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

Thanks for the response Sumarigo. I'm afraid it's not much use though.... How can I select a subscription to check if the system tells me there are no subscriptions?

As said; this error occurs when I start a sandbox from the learning environment. I'm not sure the Subscription team will be able to help on a problem that is most likely in the script that sets up the sandbox.

Yes, I have tried everything in the troubleshooting guide including enabling 3rd party cookies, whitelisting the microsoft.com domain, using an incognito window, Edge Chromium, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I'm afraid none of them changed anything.

I was facing similar problem, one of the problem maybe that you may have multiple directory. To resolve you can try clicking on the your profile(On top right on portal) and change the directory to Microsoft Learn Sandbox. Hope it works.

This advice worked for me. I received the same error message about subscriptions. Switching to my Default Directory and then switching back to the Learning Sandbox allowed me to create a new Storage Account using a Concierge Subscription.

Probably your learning sandobox just expired (it expires after 4 hours), just go into the learning path and click Active Sandbox again.

I know time flies. But I'm talking here of immediately using it right after it was created. Expiration is not a factor here.

I agree , facing similar issue. I have activated my sandbox environment ten minutes back and getting the error message that I do not have any subscription. Moreover, this is my first subscription attempt of the day.

It says in one of the lessons in learning portal that
"The Azure Sandbox doesn't allow you to create new Azure AD directories."

Thank you for responding to my problem. The problem, however, doesn't have anything to do with Azure AD directories. It has to do with subscriptions. Markedly; the subscription the Sandbox creates for itself.

Hi @croga! I just signed out, closed all tabs and signed back in--the sandbox had been applied and could be spotted on the top right.

MSDN subscriber here. Our customer wants us to complete this training but I'm receiving the same error. Go to the link provided and we're told no support there either.
