Unable to detect Linked Service of an asset in Azure Data Factory

I have a SQL server connected as a Linked Service created in Azure Data Factory by storing of Connection String in Key Vault.

I have Registered the same SQL Server in Azure Purview by creating a Credential with Password stored in Key Vault. I have created a Lineage connection by adding my Data Factory in it.

When I fetch the SQL table from purview from Azure Data Factory by using search, it is asking me to create a Linked service

Hello @SukumarVinnakota-8083,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

This is an expected behaviour.

Note: The search functionality doesn't have a logic to check whether there is a linked service already exists or not in the ADF. It just provide with an option to directly create a linked service over the data you search from Azure Purview. .

You can directly create Linked Service, Dataset, or dataflow over the data you search by Azure Purview.

For more details, refer to Using Azure Purview in Data Factory.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
