DFS Server Problem

Hi Community,

We have recently replaced an old Domain Controller with a new one with, same hostname and IP address.

Our setup consists of a domain controller in our DataCenter and one domain controller in the client's office (the one we replaced).
Both servers, we use them as FileServers and we have configured DFS.

So now we have users who complain that they cannot save files in their shared drives, which are mapped via GPO.
Clearing DFS History or rebooting the user's PC clears the issue.

Does anyone happen to have experienced something similar?

Hi,

To know the issue more clearly, would you please tell what's the error message when users tried to save files?
Also, it will be helpful if you can confirm the following questions:

When mapped the shared drives, did you use the file server name or use the DFS root name, if possible, would you please share a screenshot here?
You have created the DFS Namespace, and there are 2 folder targets on the 2 DCs, right?

How did you grant the permission for users on the shared folder?
Did you confirm that the new DC and replication works well?
Dcdiag /v >c:\dcdiag1.log
Repadmin /showrepl >C:\repl.txt
Repadmin /showreps *

Best Regards,
