Unable to recover from backup from iPhone to iPad

Hi,

Every time I try to recover from a backup I get the follow error.

Your backup is not stored under @hotmail.com. Try signing into a different personal Microsoft account.

The phone that is backup is from work and is intune managed. The phone has my personal account registered and it’s using my personal iCloud account and email address.

I am trying to restore the Authenticator on my iPad, but it will not let me, giving the error above. When I go to settings and click backup it says I already have a backup and lists the device its coming from, which is the iPhone I want to restore from. I have the option to proceed but it says it will wipe the backup.

It looks like it knows there is a backup but just doesn’t associate it to my personal email. Is it possible this could be because the iPhone is enrolled into intune and has some link to my business account. I do see it mentioned under the work or school account, device registration settings.

Everything started syncing once I turned off and on the iPad again. That good old trick.
