SharePoint Onlnie: Autopopulate field on Task list from secondary SharePoint List

Hello,

I'm looking for the simplest solution that will not impact the live data already sitting on the SharePoint Tasklist.

We need to automatically update a column on a SharePoint Tasklist based on a value on a secondary SharePoint List using a reference column. (similar to vlookups on excel)

There seems to be a number of different ways to do this, power automate etc.

Would you be able to assist?

Here're steps:

1.Create a task list and a secondary list.
2.Create a test column in the task list.
3.Create a reference column in the secondary list.
4.Create a flow as following pictures show. If "Task name" column in the task list is equal to "Title" column in the secondary list, test column will be filled in with values based on the reference column.

Thanks @EmilyDu-MSFT !

I'm just setting up the flow now and I've got to the update item part. It shows additional columns by leaving them blank will that overwrite the existing data?

You should set original properties for additional columns to keep existing data, such as "ID" for "Id", "Task name" for "Task name".
