azure backup for sql and vms

dears,

i have a one tier app on azure ( microsoft sql and app on the same virtual machine) and i want to backup both os, files and folders and the sql databases.

if i choose to backup the vm as sql server on vm option, it will only backup the databases.
my question is can i choose it the vm another time to backup it now as backup for azure vms in order to backup os and files?

in this way, i will be backing up the vm twice once using sql on azure vm and one time using azure vms

your help is appreciated

@eg1995-5273 Thank you for your post!

This is covered in FAQ - Backing up SQL Server databases on Azure VMs - Azure Backup | Microsoft Docs
Just setup policies to take VM and SQL Backups at different times.
