MECM Cache size behaviour

Hello

If the client is installed with the parameter to set the cache size to 999999MB, but the custom client setting specifies that the cache size should be 20000MB or 20% disk space, what takes preference? The Client install parameters or the Custom Client Setting?
This is for a Configuration Manager 2010.

We've had a few clients running out of disk space, which tells me the client install parameters takes preference, but I want to confirm this.

The client setting should override anything configured at installation time. You'll have to investigate why the systems ran out of disk space though to determine the root cause first. You can see exactly what the cache is set for in the ConfigMgr Control Panel applet on a device or in WMI which in turn you can add to hardware inventory or use CMPivot to query.

Thank you Jason. I suspected as much, but I had to confirm.
