Report Viewer Web Part - 2013 vs 2019

Hi,

I am currently migrating SP 2013 to 2019 and found some differences in the Report Viewer Web Part. The new one connects to the Report Server and uses the web service it seems, while the 2013 one, connected to the Report Manager.

I'm not sure why, but it seems that in SP 2013 the web part delegated credentials without no problems and in SP 2019 I'm having problems delegating credentials to the SSRS, if he is installed in other server.

I think I have some ideas on how to begin, but I would like to understand what are the differences in both web part versions so it makes sense to me.

Cheers

Hi @Swares ,

Did you use the same method to deploy SSRS in SP2013 and SP2019? What are the web part versions you are using? Are you using this solution?

Deploy the SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer web part on a SharePoint site

Starting with version "15.X.X.X" you can install the ReportViewerWebPart side by side with your existing Reporting Services SharePoint integrated mode shared service applications.

Hi @ElsieLu-MSFT

To be honest, I don't remember using the same method in 2013. I even recall something about the web part being from 2008 and being a .cab file.
