Defender for Endpoint licensing (W10)

Hello,

I am completely lost in the licensing of some advanced features of Windows 10. Is it possible to have the Defender for Endpoint on the Windows 10 Pro instead of the Windows 10 Enterprise?
The edition comparison says I cannot while the EDR documentation says that the W10 Pro edition is supported.

If I am not wrong, features like Credential Guard and Device Guard are supported only on the Enterprise edition.

Thank you
Petr

Thank you, but...that's exactly the confusing documentation. For instance>

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsforbusiness/compare. >> no EDR in Pro
https://m365maps.com/Windows%2010%20-%20Pro.htm >> no EDR in Pro

Minimum requirements for Defender for Endpoint: W10 Pro in supported OS versions

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

The forum is mainly focus on break-fix issues or simple how-to questions, we have limited information about licensing. In order to get more accurate information about licensing, it is recommended you contact your vendor or the License Center.

Best regards,
Simon
