.rdl upload to SSRS error

Please send detail instructions to trouble shoot error when I upload a .rdl file. Also please provide workaround for having compatibility issues. My SSRS dashboard can only run with Internet Explorer. Is there a workaround for Chrome compatibility

Which version of SSRS are you using?
Current version 2016 - 2019 supports Chrome as browser.

Which exact & complete error message do you get?

We are running SQL Server 2016. When the user tries to upload the report, she gets standard "error has occurred. Try again later". Please point me to instructions how to configure SSRS after a server migration and steps to trouble shoot SSRS compatibility with the latest Chrome browser

Hi @MoralesEmmaLSTFCTR-0654

Not really clear about your issue.

Could you please describe with more details?

Is there any error message when you upload the .rdl to the SSRS?

To get SSRS and Chrome to work together, you may refer this to see if it is helpful.

Zoe

Thank you for the IE extension, the reports are loading. Another difficulty we are experiencing are connection issues. When the user connects to the new server, the screen shows something that looks like an API call:

("data"; null "status":-1,"config":("GET","transformRequest":[null],"transformResponse";(null),"cache":true,"url":"api/v1.0/reportserviceinfo/model.GetVirtualDirectory","headers"("Accept":application/json,text/plain,'/')),"statusText":"")

IE Tab extension
Hello Zoe,

I have a questions from a internal business partner regarding the license for IE Tab extension.

We can try the Legacy Browser Support extension for corporations. But there may be a time lapse to consider and we can not go without the IE Tab extension. Please advice what is the best practice for a single user access to IE Tab extension while being for corporate purposes. To implement the corporate version of the extension, may require approval and will slow down our timelines. Can the single user still use the non-corporate version while the corporate version is working towards implementation?

Thank you,

Emma

Hi @MoralesEmmaLSTFCTR-0654,

Could you directly deploy the rdl report via Report Builder or Visual Studio?

Is there any error message in log file?

Try to run the browser as administrator for a try.
