A question about failed to open PDF using logon script of Group Policy

Hi, Guys,

We are used to set a log on scripts of user policy. When users log on to their computer, a PDF will open which give users useful messages.

The script is to open a pdf in network location such as: \\fileserver\monday.pdf.

After Windows 10 upgrade to 20H2, many users say the PDF can't pop up automatically.

May I know if the upgrade brought any restriction?

Regards,

Leo

Hi,
Welcome to ask here!

I'm afraid it is different to tell if the issue was affected by the upgrade.

It is suggested to check if the script was still applied successfully.
You can check that by run the command: gpresult /h report.html

Or you may consider delete the script setting and deploy it again.

If there are any updates, welcome to share it here!

Dear Fanfan,

Thank you for reply.

I run the command "gpresult /h report.html" and get the result.

I will redeploy the GP to try and share with you the result later.

Thank you.
