Solaris 11 Operating System management pack import failing

I'm trying to Import the "Solaris 11 Operating System" management pack but run into issues where it advises "The dependencies for this management pack cannot be located" and I'm connected to the internet where other MPs have downloaded from the catalog fine. The dependency that it's looking for is Microsoft.Solaris.Library.

Please advise why the "Solaris 11 Operating System" would be in the online catalog where the import would fail because of a dependency that itself appears to not be in the catalog?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi,

The .mp file can also be found in the installation media (in the ManagementPacks folder) as shown below.

Hi Jason,

I can only confirm what Leon said: manually import the MPs, especially when they have multiple dependencies. This is the case with Linux MPs, because they depend on all the libriaries within the MP.
So download the MP, install it, import the Solaris 11 MP together with the libriaries and you will be good to go.

Hi @JasonSteeves-6757,

The catalog in my opinion is not always reliable, I would recommend manually downloading the management pack and import it:
System Center 2019 Management Pack for UNIX and Linux Operating Systems

You can also find the Microsoft.Solaris.Library from the SystemCenterWiki over here:
https://systemcenter.wiki/?Get-ManagementPack=Microsoft.Solaris.11&Version=10.19.1138.0
