Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply!

Firstly, I agree with your assumption about your lost file. I think the file may be deleted by Windows system during regular Windows update.

Secondly, I am afraid that from Microsoft point of view, we do not store files for old versions, so we cannot offer you xde.msi. Microsoft officials generally only provide downloads of the latest version, the earlier version will be replaced by the new version. Apologize for any inconvenience!

Besides, I will suggest you to upload your demand to our Feedback website, so that our product team can notice this kind of issue and can offer you better service in the near future:

Thanks for your understanding and support! And I would appreciate it if you could help Accept Answer to support my work. Hi,

Thanks for posting on our forum!

Firstly, xde.msi file should be included in your downloaded Microsoft Emulator image, so if this file is missed, I think this is caused by some other factors, like if you have met all of the installation requirements.

Secondly, build 10240 is a very old version and I strongly recommend you not to use this version if possible. Just use newer verion, or even the latest version, if possible.

In addition, I will suggest you to watch this video to check if your hardware and software environment meets the installation requirements:

Hi jiayaozhu-MSFT
First thing first, the setup says that it cannot locate xde.msi even if i tried to download from internet, so i think Microsoft deleted the file.
Second, i downloaded the newer build and used (build 14393), but i want to use build 10240 too, so i downloaded the setup file from Microsoft, but i cannot as i said earlier.
Third, i meet all the system requirements.
