When adding guests in Teams, do the guests need to have Teams License in their tenant?

Hi One of our customer is adding our domain for collaboration in their teams channel. Now they will add our domain and add our users as guest in their tenant. My question is, our tenant is also O365 but we are not using Teams as an app. I am wondering if the users in our domain (Who will be guests in customer tenant) would need teams license in our tenant? Any help is appreciated.

@GoodResource,

As the official document provided by LeonLaude, guests don’t need Microsoft 365 license.

Only your partner organization has Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, or Microsoft 365 Education subscriptions. Then, they could invite your users as guests in their tenant.

So guests don't need Teams client as well, and via Browser they can get into their partner's teams channel to collaborate and share files? Is there any security issue where our org can upload any confidential files on their channel?

Sure.

Guests can share channel files. So, we don't recommend you upload confidential files in these channels. For security purpose, all team members see a message in the channel thread announcing that the team owner has added a guest and providing the guest's name. Everyone on the team can identify easily who is a guest. A tag in the upper-right corner of the channel thread indicates the number of guests on the team and a (Guest) label appears next to each guest's name.
