Exchange Online Migration (You can‎'t use the domain because it‎'s not an accepted domain for your organization)

Hi,

I am receiving the error "You can‎'t use the domain because it‎'s not an accepted domain for your organization" when trying to migrate some mailboxes to Exchange Online. The domains that are being rejected are subdomains of a domain that is verified in Exchange Online (e.g. child.domain.com of domain.com (which is verified)). I have selected the option on the accepted domain in Exchange Online to "accept mail for all subdomains" which should make this child domain an "Accepted Domain" in Exchange Online, however I am still receiving the error.

Does anyone know how to make this work without having to verify each child domain in Office 365?

Thanks,

Mike.

Each domain - including subdomains has to be added to Azure. You don't have to verify them however since they are subdomains, but they have to exist and each has to be added if you want to accept mail for them. That option you are referring to is to include sub domains that already exist in Azure/365.

If the domains are federated follow this:
