MARS Agent Upload Greater than Actual Data

Afternoon,

I have an odd issue with a MARS Agent Backup.

After a failed backup the MARS Agent, Started and Optimized Transfer,

However it appears to be uploading more data than is physically on the volume.

MARS Agent is configured to backup volume D: no exception, the total size of all files and folders on this volume is 50.4GB.

The MARS Agent has currently uploaded 66.43GB.

This volume has Volume Shadow Copy (Previous Versions) enabled, which leads to the question is MARS Backing Up the VSS (Previous Versions) as well as the actual files.

If anyone can enlighten me further on what is going on here and how to fix it.

I would be most grateful.

AFAIK, it doesn't back up the previous versions. I would suggest you to wait for this backup to complete and see how much does the next backup transfer.
