Installation of SSIS extension for Visual Studio 2019 fails

I have installed VS Professional 2019 v. 16.10.1 .
I could install Microsoft Analysis Projects extension but the installation of the SQL Server Integration Services Extension failed.

I have restarted twice the workstation, but every attempt to install the extension starts – as displayed in the screenshot - with no other option than closing the installation. ( the checkbox can not be selected).

In installer I saw "Setup completed with warnings"...

this is second time I installed my laptop.. first time also I saw the same issue , thats why re-installed VS2019 V16.10.1..

Hi @MurugesanArunraj-9626,

You may install SSDT with Visual Studio 2019 as said here.

And then open Visual Studio, extension--manage extension--find Integration Services project and then install.

You may have a try to see if it could work.

If the issue still occur, you may post the issue here for more help.

Regards,

Zoe

Hi @MurugesanArunraj-9626,

Rechecking the screenshot that you shared, I noticed that there are several packages which are failed to be downloaded. Actually, these days, there is a Visual Studio setup related known issue which may cause this issue. Please kindly check this thread: VS2019 16.9.7: Installation of Windows 10 SDK 10.0.19041.1 failed.

Matt has explained here: Not able to install any previous version of VS. Download fails because on invalid signature. Since this issue has been fixed but you met this issue again, I suggest you try to Repair VS 2019 and Update VS 2019 to the latest version to see if these two methods work, if this issue still persists, please directly start a new thread and report this issue to VS Product Team on our Developer Community(from VS Installer > on the top right corner > click provide feedback option > Report a problem).

Regards,

Zoe

I'm curious if this is a known issue for clean installations. I install this all the time for my userbase. I always get this error when trying to install the integration services after a clean install and installing analysis and reporting services. After rebooting or not rebooting if you try to install integration again the installation is not complete message comes up. I wait a day later to try again and the installation as worked 99% of the time with a few times having to repeat the process and waiting an extra day.
