how to create availability report of domain controller windos services

Hi,

Our management requested to show monthly availability report of windows services of AD, Exchange, SharePoint and SQL servers.

I can create the report of "Exchange" "windows services" avalability by going to "Microsoft Generic Reports" and then "Availability" and then by writing the name of service in search bar SCOM shows the service as object and then I can get the desired report. But when I write the name of any Domain controller service like "DFSReplication" or "CertSvc" the SCOM was not able to find any object with this name.

Is there any way to show availability report of "Windows services" of AD, SP and SQL from SCOM?

Thanks

Are they really interested in the availability of the Windows service? I would imagine they are rather focused on "is DFS available to end users" or "is PKI working for end users".
And in that case you will most likely not find anything out of the box in SCOM, for the good reason that you need to first ask them precisely what indicator should be measured and how.
And that's going to be a lot of fun for you, because they probably don't have a clue : ]

Hi. While I agree with CyrAz, here's something that might help if you still want to go ahead with
it

Cheers
