June 2021 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Pro Broke My Hyper-V Enhanced Sessions

Any help out there is greatly appreciated with this, because it has been driving me insane. Yesterday, I noticed that after the June update was installed, several of my virtual machines (I'm using Windows 10 Pro, with Hyper-V), are displaying like this when using the Enhanced Session:

Every app pretty much shows up that way in the VM. I have noticed that this occurs only in my Windows 10 and Windows Server Server 2016 virtualized machines. Older Windows Server 2012 are not affected.

I have no idea how to approach this.

Thanks!

Edit:
Version is 2004
Build: 19041.1052
Experience: 120.2212.2020.0

Hi,

Thanks for your post!

It seems the issue is similar with the following one:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/425169/kb5003197-breaks-hypervisors.html

You may check if uninstalling the update could resolve the issue.

If uninstalling the update works, I will try to report this issue with the update via the internal channel. If there's any update, I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your time!
Best Regards,
Anne

Hello,
That was the first thing I attempted, however it caused more harm than good. My search button and start button both did not work. I had to undo that operation and revert my machine's state to how it was after the update was installed.

Thanks,
Nikola

I experienced exactly the same issues. My VMs have been a mess since this update was installed. Office stopped working and I had to reinstall it and the Enhanced Session became disabled.
