AppIcons is not included in build

How to reproduce:

1-Open Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 Version 16.10.1
2-Create a Mobile Project(Xamarin)
3-Change the startup project to your-app-name.ios
4-Run in any simulator of your preference
5-Watch as the installed app has no icons and no splash screen
6-Press home button on the simulator and verify that the app you just created doesn't have an icon

Any idea how to get around this? Last week everything was fine...

Hello,

Welcome to our Microsoft Q&A platform!

I created a basic demo to test the function on ios simulator and faced the same problem. This may be a potential issue with the lastest release, it's suggested to report the issue via the 'Report a Problem' menu and follow it on the Developer Community site. Please see How to report a problem with Visual Studio - Visual Studio | Microsoft Docs.

Here is a wordaround: downgrade the VS to previous version like 16.96.

Best Regards,

II did report it in Visual Studio and it brought me here.

About the workaround it's what did it for me, I downgraded to 16.96 and it builds fine now.

Thanks.
