Revisited: Can SCCM databases be encrypted via TDE?

Revisited: Can SCCM databases be encrypted via TDE?

The last mention of this was from 2019, and that answer was inconclusive.

So.... Is there a conclusive answer on this, as we'd like to implement TDE on all of our database servers, SCCM being one of them.

Our SCCM databases are on SQL Server 2016.

Thanks!

This would be a better question for the SCCM forums.

Yes. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/understand/site-size-performance-faq#should-i-enable-sql-server-encryption-on-my-database-. As noted there though, beware of the perf impact and the debatably limited value in doing so.
