Very high (unexplained) avg data disk read bytes/sec metrics

We have a Standard D8as_v4 Linux machine running Oracle 19, and it has a single data disk which is Premium SSD LRD, 2TB, 7500 Max IOPS, 250 Max throughput.

Checking the metrics, there has been a sudden, and very high avg read bytes/sec - 36.2GB/s to be exact! Is this an error? Knowing what the database was doing, we don't believe these figures are correct.
