Moved TFS 2012

Hopefully someone can help, I have been tearing my hair out trying to make this work.

I had to move to a new development machine, different machine name.

I need to move my TFS Server 2012 files as well, but I cannot make it work, it seems way to complicated to migrate.

None of these worked:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-ca/azure/devops/server/admin/move-clone-hardware?view=tfs-2013#RefreshDataCache
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/a198decc-b6e0-4954-8772-48ecf541f348/move-tfs-2012-server-to-new-hardware?forum=tfsadmin
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/server/admin/backup/restore-data-different-instance?view=tfs-2013

I can get the database restored, but then none of my projects/solutions show as being under source control. If I go to File, source control, manage workspaces or change workspace and try binding it always comes up with the error that the binding is not valid, unbinding, rebinding, unloading project, reloading project, nothing helps.

I had to make changes to my source code so I can't reload the project from source control as it has all older code.

How do I get this to work? It should not be this hard.

Hi @Phunction-1104,

Please note that Azure DevOps Server (TFS) is currently not supported in the Q&A forums, the supported products are listed over here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/products.

You may ask the experts in the dedicated Azure DevOps Server (TFS) forum over here:
