Hybrid Join Azure AD - Operating Systems

Hello everyone!

What are exactly the operating systems, that I can connect to Azure AD (hybrid join), by only configuration the device option in Azure Active Directory Connect (without configure GPO policy "Register domain joined computers as devices").

In some pages are information that it is Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016 and all version of Windows 10, but in others is only several versions of Windows 10.

Hi @YOX-2084,

You'll find the supported Windows operating systems over here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/devices/hybrid-azuread-join-plan#review-supported-devices

Windows current devices

  • Windows 10

  • Windows Server 2016 (Note: Azure National cloud customers require version 1803)

  • Windows Server 2019

Windows down-level devices

@LeonLaude But in this page is information: For devices running the Windows desktop operating system, supported version are listed in this article Windows 10 release information", so the earliest supported version of Windows 10 is 1607 ?

If you have the extended support, then Windows 10 version 1507 (RTM) is supported, otherwise Windows 10 version 1607 is the earliest version that is still on mainstream support (ends 2021-10-12).
