KB5003173 No Audio Device and PC does not shut off anymore

After updating to KB5003173, my PC does not detect audio devices anymore and when I try to shut it down, it turns off the monitor but the PC doesn't seem to shut down. The audio problem has been reported multiple times on the forum here, the solution of adding the group policy and restarting the Windows Audio service doesn't work for me. I do not have a restore point (yes, I know). Is there any solution right now, other than reinstalling Windows? This is a ridiculous issue that I've been having for days now, trying to fix with solutions from the forum. Even more ridiculous for a required update... seriously now.

One update, in Device Manager, I see the High Definition Audio Controller being not started with this error:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

I am honestly not sure what fixed it. Uninstalling the update is not an option, as it does not let me uninstall. I followed what a different thread suggested, with the group policies:

I opened CMD prompt as Admin and ran the following commands.

net localgroup Administrators /add localservice

net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice

I then restarted the Windows Audio service in services.msc

This did not fix it initially, so I completely removed the "High Definition Audio Controller" (from System devices) and the Audio Device (from Sound, video and game controllers). One of the issues that seemed different for me, than what the others had, was that my High Definition Audio Controller had an exclamation mark and was not starting, with code 10. So I found the following thread / blog post about it:
https://thegeekpage.com/fix-this-device-cannot-start-code-10-error-in-sound-devices-on-windows-10/

In the end, I removed all the drivers mentioned (High Definition Audio Controller and the High Definition Audio Device), I removed the localservice and networkservice local policies that I added as per the other thread, I went into registry and followed STEP 4 from the blog post above (Fix-4 Deleting UpperFilters / LowerFilters key in your Registry) and rebooted PC. On startup, the speaker in bottom right was valid (no X sign on it) and the drivers were all started up successfully, both High Definition Audio Controller and the High Definition Audio Device.

Good news, even though the process is not smooth, the result is good, congratulate you.
