Can TCP Chimney Offload and NETDMA be enabled at a same time in windows 10?

I have recently referred to this article -> https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/it-pro/windows-server-2008-R2-and-2008/gg162716(v=ws.10)?redirectedfrom=MSDN .

In this article, there is given description about NETDMA.

There is also some requirements to use NETDMA.

Like;

Requirements for NetDMA

NetDMA must be enabled in BIOS.

CPU must support Intel I/O Acceleration Technology (I/OAT).

You cannot use TCP Chimney Offload and NetDMA together.

I am confused with third requirement (You cannot use TCP Chimney Offload and NetDMA together).

As, In my windows both NETDMA and TCP Chimney are enabled.

( In

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

Both value;

EnableTCPA (NETDMA) and EnableTCPChimney has value data 1 )

This means both of them are enabled or actually one of them is enabled and another is disabled.

Also in that article, at top there is written "Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2" this means these requirements are only for Windows Server 2008 R2 ?

Hi,

According to this forum post, NetDMA is not supported in Windows 8 / Windows Server 2012 and later (Pay attention to what Jeffrey Tippet [MSFT] said):

NetDMA (and Direct Cache Access?) have been removed from Windows 8 / Server 2012. Why?

If you see NetDAM displayed, just ignore it because NetDMA is not supported in the Windows Server 2012 and later.

For your reference:

Using Netsh command to view TCP Chimney Offload in the operating system
