Resource is not available in the location switzerlandnorth

I have a docker image which I want to deploy as ACI in Switzerland region. When I go through the wizard for ACI creation, it ends up with error message

I have tried to deploy this same image in westeurope region and it works fine. I have been trying the deployment in Switzerland region for 3 weeks now regularly but with no luck, so it is not just temporary issue. Is there some underlying technical problem in this region?
Thanks.

Hi,

sorry, but I have already tried all of your mentioned options. I am trying this deployment for almost a month now and I'm still getting the same error. I've tried lower and also higher resources, no luck.
I've checked the limitations on ACI in Switzerland and they are following:
Switzerland North 4 16 N/A N/A 50 N/A

The N/A means there is no limit or it means that there are absolutely no resources available in that region? The columns VNET CPU and VNET Memory has N/A, so if that means it is not available in Switzerland region, the portal should not even allow the possibility to start the deployment of ACI in Switzerland region, or?

I cannot use different region, because of the data management restrictions. I need a solution, where data will be kept within the Switzerland region and I can't use publicly available Container resource.

Thanks.

Can you try creating a support request for it? To request an increase of one or more resources that support such an increase, please submit an Azure support request (select "Quota" for Issue type).

Apologies.

ACI using VNet is not supported in Switzerland North.

This is specified in this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/container-instances/container-instances-region-availability#linux-container-groups

I have updated the answer above as well. Thanks for your patience.

Apologies for the delay in reply.
When a region is under heavy load, you may experience a failure when deploying instances. To mitigate such a deployment failure, try deploying instances with lower resource settings, or try your deployment at a later time or in a different region with available resources.

Workaround\Action Plan:
• Try to start your container at a later time.
• Try deploying instances with lower resource settings.
• Try to deploy your container in another region.
• ACI over VNet will be more problematic since they are VNet region dependent and will require a full recreation of customer environment

It could be a subscription limitation as well. Can you please refer to these docs and check on the quotas:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/container-instances/container-instances-region-availability#linux-container-groups
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/container-instances/container-instances-quotas

Certain default limits and quotas can be increased. To request an increase of one or more resources that support such an increase, please submit an Azure support request (select "Quota" for Issue type).

In the meantime, I am checking with the Product team if there is any ongoing issue which could cause this.

Do you have still same problem ? I'm in the same situation ( cannot use another region ) so I dont know to wait to solve this problem or avoid using ACI..

Yes, I have still the same issue. I have in the meantime created new architecture using Kubernetes Services, which works fine for me. But for very small deployments, ACI would be better option, when it would work.

Thanks for the reply... I got totally same answer. I have no experience with Kubernetes so it will be good for me if it is temporary issue and fixed in near future..
