Enable serverless for Azure Cosmos DB

How can we enable serverless for an existing Azure Cosmos DB instance?

Once running in serverless mode is it possible to switch an existing - i.e. in production - Cosmos DB instance back and forth between provisioned throughput and serverless mode?

Thanks!

Hi @JanB-0088,

You have to choose between provisioned throughput and serverless when creating a new account. You must create a new serverless account to get started with serverless. Migrating existing accounts to/from serverless mode is not currently supported.

Wow, ok - thanks.

Hope this doesn't severly impact adoption of serverless among existing installations!
