I'm unable to access my admin console due to deleted authenticator app.

Hi,

I currently have a challenge to access my Admin Center for Microsoft 365.

It asks me to enter the code from my mobile app or to use a verification code.

I do not have access to either as I have just reinstalled the app after my phone was repaired.

When I try to install the app, it asks me to authenticate using the app (even though I'm trying to install the same app).

I am however able to reset my password as I have access to my admin email account and mobile number etc.
But I am unable to use either my mobile number or alternate email as method for authentication.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to restore a backup.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/user-help/user-help-auth-app-backup-recovery

or reset the 2 factor in the account.

Hi DSPatrick,

Thank you very much for the feedback.
I have tried both options, however am still blocked by the Authenticator app wanting me to enter a code.
I am signed into my recovery email address and can receive password reset codes successfully, but not log into the admin center.
My mobile number and alternate email address are both listed, however I am unable to use them as authentication methods for some reason.

Hi

After exhausting all options and no recommended solution, I managed to resolve this by going via Microsoft Identification Team (I cant recall the exact name).
Thanks for the feedback though.
