SCOM 2019 dicovery failed

I uninstalled the Microsoft monitoring agent from my server aand now when i try to reinstall it from the SCOM management server i get a discovery failed (see attached) The management server has the install account as log in as service but it will not discover this server . There is nothing in the event viewer to indicate the issue. The server is showing in SCOM as having an agent but i have uninstalled it from the server. Can anyone help me find out why itt will not discover the server.
Thanks,

Hi,

When we uninstall the MMA, the target computer is not "removed" from operations manager. Navigate to Administration, Device Management, Agent Managed, find the computer and "delete" it. After that, try run the discovery again to see if it works.

Thank you all for your help - i found that using the SCOM management server to delete and then install cleaned up the mess i made by uninstalling directly from the server.
Thanks,
Abs

You means that you manually uninstall scom agent on the agent machine and then using discovery method to redeploy the agent to the agent machine again. The recommend way to uninstall deploy agent, using discovery method, is using uninstall option in agent managed pane. For manually install agent, uninstall agent on agent machine and then delete it entity in agent managed pane.
In your case, you may follow Alex suggestion on removing its agent on agent managed pane.

Hi @AbdulMubeen-8287,

I would first suggest to clear the cache of the Operations Console, then I would also make sure there are no leftover folders of the agent on the computer where it was installed.
