Storage Migration Service: No Shares

I've been trying to use Storage Migration Service to migrate a 2008r2 server to 2019. I've got 3 VMs right now with one being the orchestrator.

I've gone through the process and on step two. I simply cannot move forward with migration because the source I'm trying to migrate doesn't have any shares, therefore I cannot specify a destination server, the 2019 server.

Above is the error and where you could put in a destination server, ends with disabled icon of the mouse when hovering over the field to put information in.

Next screen will have the button available like I can click to move forward despite not having shares but the process just doesn't move forward. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I figured it out how to show shares when scanning and validating. Make sure you check administrative shares.

Hi,

Thanks for posting on our forum!

Based on your description, I suppose you may encounter some problems in gathering the file shares and in configuring your servers. Since I do not know how you configure your storage migration, can you firstly check the prerequisites for storage migration? And also please check if you followed the correct steps to conduct this migration.
