Visual Studio Code crosses out code and suggests replace

I attempted to put in a picture but it does not show for me so I don't know if others can see it either. How can I turn this extemely annoying feature off? How do I reject these changes? It offers "accept" only. No other choice.

Well just as I thought. Nobody else has run into this issue.
