Mailflow rule does not work properly

Hi,

Rule to allow member to recieve insider organization mails and one specified mailbox outside only. all other mails deleted.

The mails from that specified mail address not pass through and recieved. which the mails are deleted.

Please give advice what configuration I lost?

Hi,

suggestions did not fix the issue.

I further checked and found if outside sender sending mail to this group, the rule does not work. Inside sender mails sending to this group is ok.

if the outside sender sending directly to individianl mailbox, the mailflow rule will work.

It sounds if I like the rule working, I would like to inform outside partner send the mail one by one intead of send group.

So do you mean you would like the rule to be applied when mails are sent to the group?
If this is the case, please try changing the rule condition to below and see if it works:

Also make sure the group is set to allow external senders:

Hi,

No, Same story.
If the gmail(outside sender) sending mail to the group, the member will not recieve the message.
If he sends to mailbox, the message could arrive the destination.

To help eliminate whether the issue is indeed related to the mail flow rule, would you mind temporarily disabling the rule and check if the gmail account can succssefully send messages to this group?

By the way, will the gmail(outside sender) receive NDR when a message is failed to be sent to the group?

Hi, YukiSun,

Sure! We do have any issue or abnormal on the mail recieving, any inside or outside, who could send mail to the group or to the mailbox.

As this is a public forum, I obfuscated the email addresses in the image I posted for privacy concerns.

So you mean when the mail flow rule is not enabled, you have no issue sending messages to the group from your gmail account, right? Considering that the rule in the first image you shared earlier works for the internal senders, how about removing the external gmail account from the expection of that rule, then adding another rule for the gmail account:

Post the rule details here. A common problem is matching the address, make sure that the rule has the "Header or envelope" setting selected (under "Match sender address in message").

Aside from the suggestion provided by michev, it's also suggested to try replace the external gmail account with the complete email address and check the result:
