Not really, it isn't recommended. Also check that any other dependent roles or services support this operation.

Based on the description, I understand you want to know the list of Do's and Don'ts available to rename domain.

Based on my knowledge, your AD environment may not meet the requirements of domain renaming, you can check it according to the similar posts below.

If the domain renaming requirements are not met, we recommend that you migrate to a new domain or rebuild a new domain.
