How does one handle the Azure VPN Gateway with Site Recovery?

Good Day

Using site recovery. We would like to replicate our key Azure VMs to a second region for DR, should the primary region have a major outage. Also keeping the same ip addresses, vnets and subnets.

How do we handle the Azure VPN Gateway? Is there a way to replicate the VPN gateway to the second region, i dont find any settings to do so? Unless i am missing something.

We would like to also keep the same VPN Gateway and IP so that all our sites keep connected via the IPsec's.

Thank you.

@Desmond-3250 Thank you for your post and I apologize for the delayed response!

The suggested best practice is to pre-create VPN gateways and configure them in the target networks. If you would like same configuration as source, the configuration can be duplicated and network can be disconnected to avoid conflicts.
