You are unable to add a verified publisher to this application. Please contact your administrator for assistance.

Hi,

I encountered the error upon entering the MPN ID in a App Registration's Branding.

I followed the requirements on this publisher verification document (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/publisher-verification-overview)

  • Account used is a global administrator

  • Has verified domain

  • Has MFA

Is there something I missed out?

Thanks!

Thank you for the post and for your time and patience throughout this issue!

When it comes to the error message you received, were you able to look at our Troubleshoot publisher verification documentation, specifically UnableToAddPublisher error message?

Based off the GitHub/related issues (for the majority of customers) the issue seems to resolve itself within 24-72hrs. However, from our most recent Q&A issue, this was resolved by adding the verified publisher using another user with similar permissions.

Can try adding your verified publisher using another user (either existing or newly created user) with similar permissions, to see if that helps resolve your issue.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

I am experiencing the same issue, I have executed all the suggested courses of action referred to above, including using a different user with the similar permissions.
I have also tried using both the global and location MPN IDs, where I get the following slightly different errors:

  • Location: The MPN ID you provided (mpnid) does not exist, or you do not have access to it. Please provide a valid MPN ID and try again. Please refer to this link for additional information [AwhPVGfue77+ppG8sC/d4Z]

  • Global: You are unable to add a verified publisher to this application. Please contact your administrator for assistance. Please refer to this link for additional information [AwhPVGfue77+ppG8sC/d4Z]

In the partner portal the user that I have been testing with has the following roles:

  • Global admin

  • Account admin

  • MPN partner admin

  • Owner

Do you have any other suggestions as to what I can do?
If there is any more information that you require in order to help me, please let me know.
Thanks in advance
