Spam message showed as deliverd for unlicensed users

Hi All,

I have come a across scenario email is showing as delivered in message trace even through I have added specific sender to block list in spam settings. However I have noticed all the users that showing as delivered either deleted or unlicensed users (no mailbox). whoever is having a mailbox is showing as "FilteredasSpam" and I have no issue with that.

so I was wondering what is the reason showing as delivered for unlicensed users in the message trace. Please refer below screenshots.

Double-click one of the "Delivered" entries to get additional details. Perhaps you have a "catch all" rule configured, or the domain is set as Internal relay, effectively forwarding the messages to on-premises/external system?

Hi,
Make sure no mail flow rule is affecting the message delivery.
You can try blocking the sender’s IP instead: Use the Microsoft 365 Defender portal to modify the default connection filter policy

Thank you all. yes we had configured a connector.
